Twine Story Interactive Media Project

For the interactive media project, all of the students in the Composing Digital Media course created either an interactive fictional story or a video game using the Twine software. Twine is a piece of software that is available on desktop and laptop computers in two versions: the online browser-window version, to which one logs in with a Twine account and imports files to access specific Twine documents, and a downloadable desktop application format, to which one logs in with a Twine account and imports files to access specific Twine documents. The desktop application version is more full-featured and highly functional.

I created an interactive fictional story using Twine called The True Pirates of Pittsburgh: A Centuries-Old Conspiracy, and this story is available to interact with through this link to Box here.

When attempting to play through this interactive fictional story, please go to the Box link provided, then click on ‘download’ to download the file. Then, please either download the Twine desktop application or open up Twine in a web browser using the following web address: twinery.org. Once that step has been completed and you have logged in, please import the HTML file for the Pirates story. The story should appear in the Twine browser or desktop application at that point. Finally, click on the story and click the play button to begin!
